The Natural Science Research Laboratory (NSRL) is a division of the Museum of Texas Tech University committed to the mission of building and preserving a library of our planet's natural heritage for education and research purposes. December 2019  The 2016 edition of The Mammals of Texas is now available online!  Click the "Mammals of Texas online edition" menu button on our home page to access the entire contents of this valuable reference.

22 October 2019  The NSRL cataloged its 150,000th mammal voucher specimen, a Euderma maculatum, and celebrated the naming of the Genetic Resources Collection after Dr. Robert J. Baker

12 October 2019  The NSRL-based exhibit, Frozen in Time: Genetic Resource Collections, will be open for public viewing through 12 January 2020.  See the link for more information, and plan your visit now!

11 October 2019  A memorial volume in honor of Dr. Robert J. Baker has been published.
